Ok, my problem is getting worse and worse. I can't even use the A/C anymore. Now ANYTHING I do makes the volt meter dip badly. Even if I go WOT, I lose like 2 volts. And my turn signal flashes ULTRA slow. It's like it's gotta store up enough energy to turn on....then off. I check all my ground/power wires with a DMM yesterday and all checked out perfectly. I think I'm gonna throw that battery in just to see what happens....couldn't hurt.

your IBCM might be going bad(sorry if this was checked earlier) alot of the 96 IBCMs(behind glove box) have been making funny noises and quiting for some people. mine ticks like crazy when its cold out. also my car voltage gauge dips when I give it gas. I haven't hte slightest clue what it might be, what do you think???96 Camaro 3.8 A4 Basemodel: 8 mm wires, Shift Kit, Hollowed
Cat(o2 sims), RKSport exhaust, IAT 5.6K resistor, Home Depot CAI
>>>15.375 @ 89.27<<<NEW BEST TIME http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/552491

Ok, I installed the new redtop today. Ehhh... so so. I don't think the gauge dips as much, but it still reads pretty low. Around the 11-12V mark. It might just need some charging for a little bit. (being a new battery) However, the battery does it's job of smoothing out voltage drops....so far. We'll keep an eye on it for now.

Well now i kno that u need to upgrade ur + batt terminal to main power thingy lol. my 1/0g wire there came uncrimped so i had to put my stock wire back on and the dimming was very bAd compared to the lil dimming (after 4hrs of stop and go nite driving)w/ the 1/0g wire. so i would recommend upgrading that wire.\"Well, we don\'t care how bad-*** some dude\'s N/A Honda S2000 motor is; if you go up against 900+ pushrod ponies and 750 pounds of earth-shaking torque with a wrong-wheel-drive econobox, you\'re gonna get a fast and furious old-school ***-whipping.\"

Get a multimeter measure the voltage of the batt with car off and accessories off, should be 12.6 to 13vdc. If it is good, now with the car running you should see 13.6 to 14.4vdc at the battery, also check the current output on the alt with a magnetic pickup amp meter on the main charge wire( the big one) it should be around 60-80amps dc. If you changed the battery have the alternator checked for current and voltage output. Also check for corrosion on the battery wire terminals both connection sides, alt wire corrosion and the ground wires for corosion. If this problem happened after the new ho alt swap check everything that you touched, the problem has to be there.255/50R16 Tires, Pioneer Deck, Pioneer 4 Way speakers, PPI Amps, JL subs, Spec Stage 3 Clutch, Optima Yellow Top
