i would first check to see if its your thermostat.
water pumps tnd to go out on the 3.4s
and the waterpump could go bad, and NO fluid leak from the weep hole.
if the temp flucuates, then its the fins of the waterpump.
could be a clogged radiator, just building pressure, which would also go back to the thermo stat
if its leaking you should really track it down.
look on he inside of the water pump could be a simple gasket, or maybe the front cover gasket as well.
if you think it really is a head gasket check for your oils color, or better yet pull the dipstick out, lol. search around the head for leaks, try to get under your car so you can see if theres any leakage from the back of the engine.
if its just a coolant leak you can fix this yourself, if its a head gasket, then i would go by how comfortable you feel tearing apart your engine
