Thats the line that controls your a/c dampers. Mine broke and car would no longer blow air out the dash vents, it would only blow on the floor.

Your ac will work with the line broken. It just wont blow where you want it to blow. WELL,,,now that i think about it,, that could be the reson why your ac aint been working, all the controls are vacuum controled.
