How many miles do you have on this thing, the reason I ask is that the Saturns are notorious for needing timing chains at low mileage, and being that you are going to be in the area anyways, plus i fthe eng has to many miles you may want to consider replacement. As far as a DIY goes pick yourself up a manual...these really are easy

It's a saturn, tell her it's fine and sit back and watch.
My GF has a 92 saturn *POS*
Here is a list of problems:
Headliner is coming unglued in front and back.
A pillar plastic pieces are loose and will come undone while driving down the road.
Headlights look like a retard kids eyes that has been slapped too hard. (one goes straight up, other hits road 2 feet in front of the car)
Auto seatbelts, don't slide back and forth so her dad drilled a hole in them and bolted them in.
Uses 1 quart of oil a week.
Sitting in traffic you have to turn off the car to keep it from overheating.
Not to mention she/her dad has spent 4 times the cost of the car in repair bills over the last year. Think it might be time to get a new car???
So yeah saturns suck. My GF is purposely trying to blow up the saturn at this point in hopes of a new car.
