The MAF sensor is VERY sensitive! If you spray carb cleaner or even throttle body cleaner directly on it, it may destroy it.
I took the whole TB off, completely disassembled it, and soaked the bare TB's "exoskeleton" (I've always wanted to say that!) in a degreasing solution to break down the sh*tload of carbon buildup that was inside of it. Put some rubber gloves on and lightly scrubbed the inside of the TB with an old toothbrush. Re-installed afterwards and the car ran nice-n-smooooth! ;)sigpic

read the directions or try a search. I have read quite a few. I have some that says to , basically, just squirt the moving parts on either side as well as the blade but not to squirt down inside the body directly.
I found some berrymans b12 (i believe) throttle body cleaner and will use that. I have been reading about seafoam too and you might check it out. Some said it could clean the throttle body as well (the back of blade and stuff you'd have to disassemble to get to)97 RS
Member Status: F-Body Owner
Member Number: 7705
Registered: September 13, 2005
Posts: 24
Email Address: hfoxx123@yahoo.com
Location: Minnesota
Occupation: Database Administration
Homepage: http://none
Car: uh a camaro
