every now and then when i start up my car it fires up like the ignition turned over but really the car hasnt started and just the radio comes on. then i give it a second and and turn the key again and it fires up fine. i really have no idea why its doing this. it seems to happen every once in a while but becomes annoying. i havent gotten my spark plugs and wires changed yet and im planning to do that soon. could it be that or a starter or bad ignition? anyone that has had this problem i am all ears.

Re: problems starting up the car
Tune up might help.
Maybe battery is a little on the low side.
Maybe fuel pump's getting lazy.
Maybe clogged fuel filter.
I'd start with #1 and 4 on the list.\'00 f-bird 3.8 M5 coupe, pewter metallic
Torsen LSD, Pro 5.0 shifter, Spec stage 1 clutch, Y87 muffler, aftermarket stereo
-more fun than the Oldsmobile it replaced...

Re: problems starting up the car
could be a number of things. could be your starter, could be your fuel pressure regulator, could be the purge solenoid, its a shot in the dark from my perspective. Ive had the same problem forever, like it turns over but doesnt start for a while and if i try again it starts right up.SLP CAI, RK Sport headers, P&Ped heads and intake, GT2 cam, Upgraded valvetrain, Z28 rear axle with 4.10s Tx Spd tune, Z06 rims, 2.5\" exhaust to flowmaster, 160* thermo, B&M ripper, upgraded ignition, rockford fosgate 12\" with sony xplode amp and HU.
