    Re: tire qestion

You probably need a wheel alignment. It sounds like you have bad camber on that wheel.

      Re: tire qestion

      Maintain the proper tire pressure.
      rotate them reguarly.
      get a front end alignment.
      check for worn suspension/steering components.

The current pressures should be posted inside your driver's side door (on the jamb). If you are not using factory size tires, go max pressure for the tire minus 5 or so.

        Every 10K (after an alignment)

            Re: tire qestion

Here is a brief article on what an alignment is.
            http://autorepair.about.com/cs/gener.../aa012201a.htm

As an extreme example of camber, think of a NASCAR Nextel Cup car. When traveling down the straights, the tires are leaning to the left riding on the edge of the tire. At this point they are ony using a small portion of the available tire surface. When they corner, with the banking and speed, the shocks compress and the tire flattens out giving them maximum contact with the track surface.

On a street car, it is normal to have some degree of camber set. Actually, the tires lean in towards each other ever so slightly. Any more and the tire wears uneven just like your describing. The camber setting is specific to each model car and the application your using it for (autocross). While some people may disagree, I believe in getting an alignment every 15K. Its cheaper to get an alignment versus buying new tires due to improper wear.
