  • Spare Tire:

Can I just replace the tire or do I ahve to get a whole new spare (rim/tire)?

If so, where do I get it?

Also, can I fit a full size spare in my car where the other spare goes or is taht just too tight?

      Re: Spare Tire:

A full sized spare tire will not fit in the R/H AFT cavity (behind the sidewall panel) where the space saver spare presently resides.

If you need a new space saver spare, go to the bone yard and get one from a wrecked car. They have lots of them (spares I mean), some never been used.

Speaking of spare tires, has anyone tried removing it, and using that fix a flat stuff? To save weight.

                  Re: Spare Tire:

my experience with fix a flat is your pump the tire up with the can, and then they tell you to run the tire for at least 10 minutes or so.. just to make sure there's an even layer inside your tire. Running it w/o any wait time shouldn't be a problem.

There's a member on here (forgot what thread) who runs w/o a spare with a plugging kit, fix a flat, and an air compressor. I think they started a thread in the lounge about fixing a tire in 4 minutes... search "4 minutes" and it should come up.
