Well, I have the usual mods, intake& exhaust.I installed my power programmer in my engine, I drove it about 2 days and removed it, put my car back to stock. The car ran terrible with the power programmer tuning.Stock it runs great!I used the power tuning for 87 octane and I think that might have been the problem. Has anyone had bad results with the power tuning program? I know that the dyno results show 91 octane was used.give me some feedback. Thanks

I did not notice any decrease in performance from the 87 octane tuning. I have yet to run the 93 octane tuning. The one time I went to the track since I got HPP3 I had a mix of 87 and 93 in the tank that was probably close to 89 (about 1/3rd 93). Have you changed the thermostat? I was runnig the stock 195 at the time but with the optimized fan temperatures. I recommend at least a 180 (that's what I have now). I think you may want to try another gas station as well. With the 87 octane tuning you have to be running 87... if you are buying your gas at Cheapo-Depot I might try Mobil, Shell, Chevron, or maybe Exxon.Matt
2000 Firebird

FullThrottleV6.com

I ran the 87 power tuning for awhile with no problems. Then ran it with a tank and a half of 93 octane on the 87 tuning just to make sure the 87 was completely out of the system. Then reprogrammed it to 93 octane on 93 gas. Runs strong on these settings and the way I have done it. I'm still on the stock thermostat since I want my engine to warm up during these cold months.
