I've lately been using just regular 87 grade like it says in the manual. But one of my friends told me that when you get bolt ons for your car you should be using 89. I have a few bolt ons so what kind shuld I be using?

Ive never had a problem with 87, i use it in my camaro, and silverado. I cant even tell the diffrece if i do buy a tank of the other stuff. I dont know anyone that uses anything besides 87. If you ask me 87 is better, its going to be fresher, you never know how old the other grades are, being no one buys them as they cant afford it.http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2245261 Green 1997, 105k, all stock except for Z28 front springs, Air shocks in the rear, home made coolant recovery tank, home made battery hold down.

Your mods list doesn't have anything that requires 89. Start fooling with the motor internally and the computer, and that could change drastically.\'00 f-bird 3.8 M5 coupe, pewter metallic
Torsen LSD, Pro 5.0 shifter, Spec stage 1 clutch, Y87 muffler, aftermarket stereo
-more fun than the Oldsmobile it replaced...
