I know that oil pressure can drop on a warm day, but mine never did until lately. Its usually always at about 60 but now when I stop and idle it drops to about 45. Even last summer on super hot days it never did this. The oil level is good, and I get pressure immediately on start up. Any ideas?
Thanks.
you oil pressure is fine. I would worry too much. these factory guages aren't exactly acurate anyways. my did the same thing as yours last summer and i checked the pressure and everything was fine.

your pressure seems to be alright. it should drop when you slow down(thats a good thing). also it really depends on how hard your pressing the gas. my oil pressure when going about 40mph is around 45psi. if im on the highway going about 70mph its around 55psi. if ive been driving a looong time at idle it will be around 30psi. so hope that gives you an idea.
Weird, last summer my oil pressure gauge never seemed to move either. But this year it drops while idling and goes back up when I press the gas. Unless I just didn't notice it last year...?
