my heater core started to leak, so i made a temp fix for the summer and pluged the 2 hoses with thick bolts and hose clamped them in, i planned on looping the hoses together to allow flow, but my uncle who is a mechanic said that just plugging the lines would do. i havent started the car yet cause the batt. is dead but wouldnt the pressure build up make the hoses leak or burst? Any help is appreciated.

They should not bust or leak. My car one hose was 3/4 and the other was 5/8. I bought a plug kit when my heater core went. Only paid 5 bucks for it. Pressure never built up enough to cause any problems for me.
You cant loop the hoses together for flow anyway. Thats what me and my dad tried before plugging. It will eventually drain your radiator through your resorvoir. I had antifreeze coming out of my resorvoir when i did that. So dont do that. So yea dont do that unless u want car to over heat.
I plugged the pipe coming off the intake (3/4 inch) and the one coming off the water pump which loops around at air conditioning compressor (5/8 inch). U neeed to plug at those 2 places.1994 Arctic White Camaro T-Tops(all options except leather)
80 Series Flowmaster Muffler
Ebay Cold Air Intake
Earthquake in the back known as a Kicker Solo Baric 15 L7

http://www.cardomain.com/id/sirshaun

You can hook the hoses together if you want but it is alot easier to just plug them off. SirShaun if your reservoir kept filling up then your car was either overheating of your radiator cap was faulty and not allowing the coolant to be pulled back from the reservoir into the radiator, that's the whole purpose of the reservoir.2005 Magnum
