Not a remote Garage door opener is it?

Don't know if GM ever fitted them, but I do remember that my ex g/f's Chrysler Sebring Convertible had one.

I have one on my 94 camaro. Mine has a phone cord like cable coming out of it that runs to where the amp was before I got the car. I thought it was XM antenna or something.

do you mean the wire that goes from the headliner to the rearview mirror? because if that is what you are talking about it's the power to the map lights.

Must be an antenna of some sort. It was big in the 80's for radios, now it is probably for, as said above, xm, cell phone. Do you still have the power antenna? If not maybe 4 the radio. Seen alot of 80's cars in salvage w/ them. Didn't work too good back then though. I did some research on those for a paper in electronics. the old ones ran paralell in the middle of the glass up to the tint and then across to each edge of the glass. Jessica:)

i dont know but it doesnt wire to the map lights in anyway. i looked at it thourghly and its a little blach square dim: 1x1 inches. it has a strong flexible wire pointing out, down and on the other side the wire go back into through the cieling into something but nothing that i can find. there are no buttons on it and it clicks now and then from time to time... it says: "Directed HF plus" on it. the three wires coming off it go around the top of the ceiling over to the driver side along the windshield and into the plastic molding. its f-in weird that noone has one of these things. what the hell is it?

are you the first owner of the car?? sounds like it could have been for a boost gauge to a pod or something.
