      It's for either

      a. An aftermarket alarm system

      or

      b. a slap start system (remote starting)

its not cell phone... xm... etc... there is an equal chance of it being either an alarm or remote start, since they use the same type of frequencies and antenna all the time.

HF stands for high frequency, and its used to deter attempts at trapping your alarm code or 'hacking' your remote start signal.

        Google, simply the best

^I agree--part of an alarm/remote start system. Must be receiver antenna.
Your sig is the most important part of your message. Make sure that you list EVERY single thing that you have done to your car so that we can all go \'oooh!\' and \'Ah!\'. Please make your sig consistently longer than anything else you post. Please include your lengthy sig with EVERY single post you make during a reply, even if you only reply with a monosyllable grunt.

Most likely, it is for an aftermarket alarm/remote system. Last year when i traded my '99 bird for a 2002, i had an alarm installed and it has one of those receivers. My alarm is a Python system. Hope this helps.....
