ok i got 3k to spend, what should i get for the 6

i was in a car accident guys, the camaro is aright buy im suffering from neck and back issues. the cars bumper is pushen in and will be needing a new one. I got a quot on how much its goin to cost and they said 3k. so i said ill fix it just give me the cash. my main question is what should i buy with my 3k for the camaro? i want the 3.8 to still be in the car but i want a fast v6.

Fix the bumper, Finish the exhaust, Get some gears/lsd and maybe some suspension stuff, I would save atleast half of it.

lsd? ya i was wondering about gears. i have 323 in it right now. its the y87 package. would i be dumb to get 410s? what should i get with 3k guys?

y87 came with 3.42s, unless 96 is different. if you do indeed have 3.42s you are all set then for lsd and gears.

What did you get done when you had the engine rebuild? Was it a OEM rebuild or did you upgrade things?

no, he has a M5, ALL M5's came with 3:23. i think 4:10's are too much. id get 3:73's. with 4:10's your gas miledge will suck. with 3:73's , at 70ish your RPM should be around 2500ish. or somewhere close to that. where are you from?

ditto. buy an FI kit and then built up to compliment it from there.

I did it the other way around and have spent $5k on the car to compilment a turbo kit..... so, after all the money no turbo, but Ive got a pretty strong slow car.

ok guys, thanks for the info. I just got back from racing on a closed straight away and it was really my first time doing illegal street racing. I was the only camaro there, the other cars there were all civics and mx-6's. i smoked them all lol off the line and down lol they were pissed. I would like to see what i can do in a 1/4 at a timed track.
