  • Heater question

I drove my car yesterday after letting it sit for about a week, and when I went to turn on my defroster, it started making a hissing sound. It did this for everything I turned it to...max, face, floor, defroster, those kinds of things. It usually only hisses when I turn it off. Anyone have an idea for me of what this is? Or any experiences with it themselves?

If you're talking about the 'decompression' type noise as i like to call it, that only happens when you switch fan settings and then goes away in a second-- Mine does it; sometimes more than others. We laugh about it sometimes, sounds kinda cool. :D Its nothing to worry about as far as i know.

Yeah, it sounds like that, except it stayed on the entire time the heater was on.
