2000+ f-body owners, need help:

I am talking to Kristen via cellphone and she is trying to locate a Purge Solenoid Valve on her 2001 3.8L.
What I need to know is; Does it even have a Purge Solenoid Valve?

and where the heck is the canster that should be behind the shield in the rear drivers side wheel well? it's not there. the only thing that is there is the tube that goes into the gas tank
