  • I have a friend with a 95 3.4L camaro who needs help

    Well he is haveing oil pressure problems his oil pressure will fluctuate from 25 at idel to 45 at WOT he has changed oil twice and replace the oil pressure sending unit. any help at all would be great thanks alot.

    All of our rides have "ify" oil pressure readings. Though that is a drastic change between idle and WOT. Has he had someone look at it, mechanic wise???

      That's not uncommon. Mine does the same and the pressure is actually fine.

        yeah he had it checked and the pressure was fine

          I Will beat you money that it is his oil preasure switch i blew mine about two weeeks ago it only takes about 2 minutes to replace and costs about 3 dollars

            i have had the same probleme for a while now scared me bad at first at frist crank the pressure is ok the longer i drive the more it fluctuates greatly and if i sit at idle sometimes it will pull a oil pressure light where is this switch you speak of ?

              the oil pressure switch is located right above the oil filter it is screwed right in to the engine block ./


              what happens when these things go out is that oil is getting all the way threw the switch so if there is oil on the side of your engine do not be alarmed

                I assume he has the right size filter.

                I had low oil pressure ended up being the dealership put the wrong size filter on my car. Lucas Oil Stabilizer works pretty well.
