  • Issue with clutch or maybe idle?

    Sometimes when i downshift (lower gears) and come to a stop. The rpms stay at 2 grand and then come down afther a few seconds. I just started this today and no Iam not on the gas pedal still.
    1999 Pontiac Trans Am M6 Far from stock.....

    Had the same problem once, but mine went to around 3k rpm's and stayed there for 5-7 seconds, and my foot was nowhere near the gas pedal. The SES light never came on either when the idle went up. Turns out it was my IAC (intake air control) Sensor that went bad. Got a new one at Autozone for $26.00, and the idle problem went away.

        is that the sensor that goes into the elbow before the throttle body?
