coils, wires, plugs, could be several things, most common are wires, plugs, and coils. coils can be tested to see if they work, plugs can just be replaced, as well as wires.

Well all have been replaced with 5000 plugs and o2 senors were last week as well as the fuel filter. Coils (MSD) and Wires (Taylor) were replace around December. Would a clogged injector be it??

Mine turned out to be the coils, wires, and plugs. I had changed the fuel filter earlier, but there was nothing wrong with it. Also, it could be clogged fuel lines... that or if there is water in the gas. Go by autozone or advanced auto parts and get some ignition cleaning fluid... Make sure you read instructions, some say to have a full tank, others to be near empty.
Ive heard that pouring alcohol in the tank can get rid of the water, but dont do it unless you get confirmation... i dont know how much you are suppose to put. Hope this helped. Good luck!

Could a bad alternator cause a misfire?

Would a misfire make your exhaust smell like gas??? If not what would?

You're exhaust is going to have a smell to it but if it's smelling especially bad then it might be that your catalytic converter is going bad. What year/mileage is the vehicle?

my car isn't misfiring unless it goes to 45 mph and i try to press the gas pedal past the 1/2 mark. I dont know if its the fuel lines clogged.
I used to use 93 gas but i just switched back to 87.
