I broke a wheel stud this morning, so I'm gonna replace them all with ARP studs. Are the lengths different for the front and rear? And does anyone know the length of the stock studs?

No the length from the fronts and the backs are the same. As far as the stock length mesure. Mesure the ones you have.

Re: wheel studs - need help asap please

its this simple, take a hammer, knock out a good one (you can drive safely on a minimum of 3 studs/lug nuts but keep em in a star kinda pattern) and drive up to murrays or a tire shop and have them measure it. Takes about a minute.
and a stud is a stud is a darn stud, you dont need "performance studs". the torque for our wheels is 100ft/lbs. no more. i'm 160lbs and i dont even have to lean into them to get them to 100ft/lbs. if you go tighter than that, you'll just wind up warping ur rotors. if they're rusting up on you, take a brush and clean 'em off or replace them, but either way, put a dab of antisieze on them and rotate ur tires every 5000 miles. I dont even use antiseize and my lugs have NO rust cuz i rotate my tires. makes them wear better anyways...

I rotate my tires on a regular basis as well. I was getting them rotated when the stud broke.

Well, the reason I asked is if someone knew offhand, then I wouldn't have to do that. Isn't the purpose of this board to share information with one another?

Are they the ones for the V6 and V8 the same, or are they different for the 12-bolt rear end?

ok ok, fine, ur right, i apologize. i should probably save it for the lounge. But that stuff DOES work tho (anti-sieze and regular rotation and correct torque).

I'm almost positive tehy're teh same for v6/v8. I dont knwo anything about a 12bolt so i cant help ya there. lo ciento!
