anyone here use the washable oil filter from pure power? saw it reviewed in hot rod magazine, so i checked it out on the web. $200.00 for an oil filter ($90.00 for a fuel filter) is steep, but you can disassemble it and clean it and reuse. would pay for its self over time, and you can use it to help keep an eye on metal shaving and what not in your oil.

Never heard of anything like that. I wouldn't use it, but thats me. The 3 bucks for a paper element filter is good insurance.

they use a fine metal screen, but in my mind they will never filter as well as a paper filter. My yamaha ttr250 dirt bike has one, and no one makes a paper one for it. Again, i would not use it even if it was the same price as a delco filter.

I think my grandad had one on his corn binder in 1933. Don't think the technology has changed much since.

In normal driving it would take about 16 years of use to be worth it economically over the proven $3 acdelco filter.
