I have a '98 3.8 A4 Camaro and am looking for a new type of oil. After I spin a bearing, I'm suddenly hearing a bunch of bad things about Valvoline oil, so I'm done with it.
I've always used Valvoline 5W30, but what do you prefer? What about full-synthetic; anything good with that?
I use full synthetic, whatever brand: from wal-mart brand(supertech) all the way up to mobil 1
mostly 10w-30 in summer, mostly 5w-30 in winter

Anybody ever heard anything about or used QuakerState?
I was told not to use QuakerState. A mechanic told me a long time ago that it gums up easily. Can't say it's true or not, since I've never used it. Just telling you what I heard. Anyone who uses/used QuakerState feel free to set me straight.
