      Re: stock stall

2200 doesn't sound too high (I think some stock 02s stall to 2400 or so.) My stock converter only stalled to 1800 though :( It depends on the car, some are configured to stall higher (such as yours,) and some are set lower, like mine. BTW, this post belongs in drivetrain.

I've stall my stock one to 2500 before but I had to hold the brake all the way down.

I'm pretty sure it ranges from 1800-2200. If i went any higher than that even in my 3.4 i'd start to spin. But then again, 3.4s seem to do better burnouts than 3.8s anyway.

it shouldn't be any higher than 2200, did you buy your car new or from someone else?

I know this is an old topic and all but....today I was out just messing around and I stalled right at 2800. I thought it was kinda high so I came an researched and found this thread.

You guys are saying like 2200 max...maybe I can snap a pic of it stalling that high.

I'm pretty sure my car was bone stock when I got it...some old guy owned it before me.
