I just purchased a 94 Pontiac Firebird with a 3.4L v6. The engine is completely stock. Anyway I have noticed that if I try to floor the vehicle from a standing start the engine will stall or try to just die on me. If I let go of the gas and let it idle for a moment it will accelerate only if I go easy on the gas. The "security light" and the "service engine soon" come on and off all of the time. I have not had a chance to scan the codes to find out what code is being tripped, but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what my be the problem. Like I said it only does this when given a lot of gas. Especially from a standing start. Any help is appreciated.
