  • Burnout bad for clutch?

Pretty straight forward question. Is doing a burnout with a manual bad and or hurt the clutch? I can burnout quite well just flooring it after i let out the clutch in 1st, but for a reallly smokey/long one i usually rev it up to 2000-3000rpm, and pretty much dump the clutch and roast the tires well. haha i know that statement right there pretty much is a no brainer, dumping clutch=bad, but to an extent how bad is it on the clutch? This isn't something i do on a regular basis either, just every now and then for kicks.

If your not doing it on a regular basis and the rpms are relatively low then the damage done will not be that bad for it, it will shorten its lifespan only minorly.

your clutch won't last as long as i should. if you want to do a wicked burn out just get a line lock.
