Re: What mod should I get next?

Fair enough, the Pats are a great team.. I'm a Jets fan myself. Go ahead..laugh.

As for N2o, I wouldnt recomend it without building up your engine. Thats just my .02 though. I dunno how these engines would withstand a blast here and there of juice. If they can hanlde 5lbs of boost on stock internals I think a small shot of N2o would be safe.

Heres a question though, do you want power on call or do you want more power all the time?

I agree jumping from nothing to nitrous is a big change :P id say some new forged rods , F/T pistons , and bigger injectors then sure go ahead with the Nitrous , but on the 3.8 stock beware lol :P

There is a LOT of information on this forum about N20. Go to the nitrous forum and read the stickies. Other people before you have done all this stuff and you can learn from their experiences. Information is your friend. :)

I agree with you guys about going from stock to nitrous. I just want power all the time, so it looks like getting cam, lifters, rods, and springs this is the only way to get true power out of engine. So if I do this how many HP again do I get out off it?

Conservative estimate would be 65-70 horses. After you do that I'd go get the car tuned so the computer is aware that you've changed all that stuff. You'll get the most of all that work that way, probably even more HP since it'll be tuned for peak performance with the new goodies.

So the total HP is between 265 to 270? What about the rear wheal HP because the stock is 173 I think?

Wouldnt know there man. Dunno how much power you'd lose from the flywheel to the wheels.

Get headers, intake, different gears. A 75 shot is very safe on a stock car. You can shoot up to 100-120ish with an oil pump and bolt ons. Your car should have more than enough power for passing, so nitrous is ideal for set up races. A well hidden nitrous system would be a killer sleeper and only run you about $500 for all the switches, and system. Anyways, each to their own. Just read up here and get info.

I have a K&N FIPK Gen2 intake system installed in my 01 camaro automatic. Also I have tubular manifold, and stock 3.42 gears. If I want do a 75 shot of nitrous. I have to change the park plugs to nitrous plugs so I don't get miss fires.
