Today I gutted my cat now the car wont idle. It drives fine. Yesterday the cat got blocked up and pushed exhaust throught the EGR valve and back out the intake THROUGH the filter. I think I might have fried the O2's. Would that be the problem?

      Re: no idle

i had this problem when i changed my o2s, the auto parts gave me the wrong ones, the car would run fine, but would nearly die at idle. But i also had the SES light on saying check o2's. Do you have an SES light no?

          Re: no idle

If you were blowing exhaust and crap out of the filter I think that I would be concerned about the conditon of the MAF. Maybe it's been contaminated or damaged, which could be the origin of your SES.

I got the computer scanned, it was the MAP sensor.

I changed the map sensor and its still ****ing up and throw that code. The dealer said it might be the wiring to the map or the PCM. ****ing ****.

just when you thought the lt1 was a pain in the @ss..

CDNFB- 3.4s dont have MAFS. theyre speed density cars.

                rant/
also... why is it every dealership blames everything on the pcm? everytime i see a thread like this where someone goes to a dealership, thats the first thing they blame. they did the same thing with my moms 02 malibu. they kept telling her it was the computer... and it never was./rant

pull the 02s and see what they look like. but i doubt thats the problem. id check small crap first. pcv or egr valve maybe? just throwing ideas out there for ya. good luck with it though.
