      He means a gear drive instead of a timing chain.

        In your 95 Z??

        I don't know of any LT1's running gear drive just yet. I do think you can do double timing chain setup though.

          they make one for the 93-02 Z28, its quieter than other gear drives. i think pete jackson (brand) makes it. check out www.summitracing.com - i think thats where i saw it.

            Some say that i cant go with gear drive becasue of the knock sensor.&gt; They say it will detect various knock?

                And I'm 98% sure I've seen them that will work for you, at various noise levels. Meaning you can get one that barely whistles at all, up to one that whines like a blower. To those that don't know, this doesn't replace the timing chain, it is still necessary, it simply helps it run more efficiently. It goes right between the cam and crank gears, and costs around $100.
