cold rough idle

  • cold rough idle

    when starting especially in cold weather, the car starts up fine but after a couple of seconds the car starts to idle very rough for a minute or two then smoothes out by itself, does anybody else have this problem and if so what to do.

    nope not here, but that's probably because I'm in warmer weather. [img]tongue.gif[/img] MAYBE, now I'm not sure, but it could be the colder weather that's making components stick together more which could be screwing around with your idle. Once the motor heats up to operating temperatures it runs good because the entire motor is hot. Just a thought...

      My car does the same thing. It's just because it's cold. It also couuld be my high millage too. I have 106k on mine. What do you have on yours?
