removing trans what all is required?

I'm gonna drop my trans without a tranny jack. Will ATF leak out real bad or something? Do I need to take note of where the Torq. Convertor/Flywheel/drive plate is positioned for engine balancing?

that was the most stupidest question I've ever asked since I have a Haynes.

Real questions:
#1) I think I want to pull the oil cooler lines first and try to get the ATF to drain out of that first so I dont have to pull the oil pan?

#2) Can you really jack from both oil pans if you have a block of wood on the jack? That seems like it would make the oil pans crater or at least a huge indention!!

yes its ok to do that. the thing is you arent jacking up the car with the oil pan. all your doing is supporting the motor while the crossmember is out so that you dont wear out the motor mounts by having the tranny sagging it down. it wont leave an dent or crack or anything. and as far as not using a jack its really not that hard. thats what i do. i just lay underneath it yank it out and set it on my chest and then have someone grab it off and put in on the ground. same thing for putting it in. just set it on your chest and then just bench press it up into place. automatic might be a little heavier so i dont know if thats a great idea but for any manual tranny its fine.

yeah, the auto tranny weights about 300lbs so, I wouldn't try benching it down then up to put it back in. You should get a hydraulic Jack and jack the tranny out and back in.
