My dad had a 2005 V6 Malibu and when I used the AC it barely used any power and the gas mileage drop wasn't insignificant. Why is it on f-bodies that the AC compressor uses so much power and gas mileage sucks? I know the compressors are probably of an older design. Would it be possible to bolt up the new compressor to out acessory bracket?
