ok, today i noticed one of my DRLs wasnt working, then tonight the other wasnt working, both of them are and have been cracked and all fogged up, but i pulled the bulbs, and at the base of both of them, the socket itself looked pretty black, i just washed my car today, maybe that has something to do with something, but i am going to investigate a little more closely tomorrow, worse comes to worse i'll just buy 2 new assemblies from the dealer, they looked like crap anyways filled with water, but what would fry both of them in the same day, one of the bulbs was actually broken...
yeah, but i have a feeling that i am going to have a problem finding direct replacement for these wierd daytime running lamps that to the extent of my knowledge arent used in any other car
i just find it odd that both decided to fry the same day, and after getting one of the assemblies out i discovered that there was already pieces of a broken bulb in it, could it be just from getting water in there?
discouraging because from GMpartsdirect, $130 for the housings and the connectors, i'll do it, but i just dont know if there is something deeper, because both of the sockets are burnt, chances are that its from water getting in them, anybody else have this problem? i noticed the first one after i washed my car, then i noticed the second one later that night driving home
blldogg, can you explain why there are 3 wires going into the single socket, i am very tempted to temp wire them into my side markers just so i have my turn signals back

yeah, i figured that out after looking closer today, i think i am going to reuse the sockets, i think they are just black from the heat of the bulbs, i put my taillight bulbs in them and they still work, i took out the blinker relay and will get a new one tomorrow when napa is open as well as some new bulbs, then i will order new housings, and hopefully that covers everything, oh yeah, and i will also put dielectric grease in the sockets as reccommended by a friend to prevent water again.
Hey everyone! I've been trying to remove my transmission for two days now! I need to replace the clutch. Only thing I've got left holding the transmission...
