yesterday it was raining really hard, it hasnt rained like this in a while.

so anyway im drivin, heavy rain, all of a sudden this death screech noise comes from under my hood. im like wtf is that. im assuming my belt is getting wet and its slipping, right? why would it start doing this all of a sudden, it never has before.

it also feels like its bogging, like it got water in the engine or something. the exhaust is uneven, bit of a puttering, etc. i recently removed my egr valve and put in a block off plate, but i didnt get to finish after i had test fitted it, so theres no gasket. im assuming this is the culprit.

ive also changed my sparkplugs, wires, and coils (since its last rained), maybe something in the ignition is getting wet?

ive also changed my exhaust. new cat and catback, i dont know if this could be affecting anything, getting wet somewhere.

the car is lowered but ive driven it in the rain before ive done all these other mods and have had no problems.

im guessing its just my halfassed egr removal.
