Re: Where is the second gear start switch on the 3.8?
I have been shopping for a firebird or camero for about 3 months and looked at and test drove about 15 of each in that time period. I just bought a 99 firebird on friday. All were v6's and I am about 99% sure that all 3.8L in the year 99-02 had the option of comming with TCS including mine. The earlier years (I am not sure when it began) I think like 94 or 95 -98 had the option of 2nd gear start. that was in both the 3.8 and 3.4. This has been from my experience in all the crs I have looked at over the past few months. Like I said though the option was not on all vehicles but most so it isn't just the v8's but v6's also.
