Oddly enough, on JetChips's site they list the same part number for the 2000 and the 2001, I was always under the impression that every year had it's own. I emailed Jet about this, hope to hear back soon.
Differences in the Hypertech and Jet. Hypertech($300) gives you the option to run premium or regular gas, it can set the temp that the fan comes on, it can correct your speedo for gear changes, removes the top speed governer, advances the timing, tweeks the air/fuel ratios and adjust shift firmness(auto).
The Jet Chip($130 from me) will advances the timing, tweeks the air/fuel ratios and adjust shift firmness(auto).
Virtually the same power increase by altering the same things. Unless you really start sinking some money into your V6, Jet Chip would probably be all you need. All of these things can be found on Hypertech's site or JetChips site, www.hypertech.com and www.jetchip.com. Or you could go with the MAFT($250) to advance the timing and alter fuel mix but you have to know a lot about it and use AutoTap($300) with a Laptop(??) to tune it.1997 Nassau Blue Vette
1989 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 (lifted with 31\" tires)
2000 V6 Camaro, loud, cammed 210rwhp *SOLD*
