How many miles since you checked your plugs and wires?

does the SES light come on or blink?
you could always take it to autozone and ask to borrow their scanner.

          Re: miss fire?

I just went thru a similar sitch with my '02 (see "Spark Kutting out" thread).

If you checked or replaced the plugs and the plug wires, the next step is to check the coil packs. There are three of them with two cylinders per pack. If one is bad, it will effect two cylinders.

If you can tell which cylinders are misfiring (or if your garage can tell you), then switch the packs around (keep track) and see if the misfires move with the pack...then you got it. The part is less than $100 and you can easily install yourself.
