I was wondering if my 2000 camaro 3.8, has a rev limiter. I'm to scared to try and find out myself.

    Re: rev limiter

Yup, should be right around 6000 RPM.. if you are in park or neutral, its like 4500.. nothing to be scared about, just dont drive down the street hitting the limiter.

        Re: rev limiter

Actually stock it limits you at 5800 rpm. It isnt smart to rev any higher than 6000 on stock heads or youll proly float a valve.

yep you have a limiter. I think it is 5800 as well.

6000 is not that bad on the 3.8L
