My oil (see car info in sig) is at about 30 psi at idle, going to 40 or 50 psi in higher rpm's. the car has 163K miles on it and I am not noticing any power loss. Is this dangerously low?
The engine also ticks sometimes, not real noticeable. I suspect that is from the lifters, but figured I'd better mention that too.
I haven't been able to figure out any pattern to the ticking. It will do it right after startup, or start when I'm cruising, or idling in traffic. It seems like maybe it does it more in colder weather. As for oil consumption, I don't have any leaks that I'm aware of, clear exhaust smoke, loses maybe .5-1.0 quarts every 5K miles.
