  • What is this Broke Part?

I'm changing my waterpump and I broke this part, and have no idea what it's called.

It screws in to the engine with a brass fitting right under the thermostat neck. It has one connection for the heater core, and the two connections for the throttle body coolant hoses coming out of it.

Any one know what this part is called?
Can I buy it at Autzone or am I going to have to go to the Chevy Dealer?

    Thanks!

i have been told that that is unnessicary and just keeps the TB from freezing, if thats true i would just block it off, but wait till somebody verifies that

To answer my own question it is actually two pieces.

              1. Nipple, Heater Intlet
This is the brass thing that screws in the engine, the plastic inside of it broke apart/off.

              2. Pipe Heater Inlet
This is all the black pipe that has the inlet/exit for the throttle body heater.

I'll update this thread tommorrow with rather or not I can get it @ autozone.com and the price at autozone or the chevy dealer.

i'm pretty sure your tb will never freeze, otherwise they would have put it on the 3.8 too, i would just do !TB heater delete

Re: What is this Broke Part?

I don't think you people understand, I already did the throttle body coolant bypass, but this piece is still needed.

I broke the brass/pot metal fitting that the hose fits into.
Besides the throttle body, this hose also feeds the heater core.

Without it water wouldn't circulate properly.
