i was got in my camaro tonight and about to drive to class i went to turn the wheel and it would go so i like what the fuzz. so i got out poped the hood and saw my belt popped off. so i had to drive my dad's dirty ert f 150 to school. how hard is it to drive the car with out a belt up the street to the mechnic it like block or so away?
take a gander at it in the mrning. i rember bumpin the belt for a sec when i seafoamed it today but the belt looks fine it just has a lil bit of a bend in it but no cracks or anything. i still on class now so hopefully it as easy as u guys say.
ok i know this is a lounge it started out just sayin how much it sucked my belt popped off. i gonna try to fix it my self cause every one says it so easy. but i know tehre a diagram but do u have to lower the altenator or anything to get the belt on?

No dude, just take the belt compeltely off, then slip it back on starting with, say, the crank (anywhere will do) and "thread" it on following the belt diagram. Then when you get to the belt tensioner pulley (the one near the alternator, should be the last one you deal with), stick your ratchet on it and pull it back, it will release, and allow you to slip the belt over it. Done.
The belt had a lil of a bend to it I bumped it for a sec today while I was seafoaming it so I thinking I gonna throw that belt back on go to the store get a new one and have the wrench and spare belt in the trunk and if it pops of again i throw the new belt on

I paid 35 for mine. any autoparts store will have one, but ask for the discount(if you have to beg for it) to get like 3+ bucks off. I do it all the time...good luck

I got the old belt back on in like 10 mins. I got a new belt and untied auto down the street there pretty cool guys they charge me 30 dollars for it cheapest place in town. i plan on putting that on tomm when i have some free time. cause the other belt tred is a lil chewed up.
