Hey guys. I found out why my AC was'nt working it was the relay. The shop wanted like $180 to diagnose it when it was only a $3 problem. Crooks!!! It works now, but when I go to the third setting it just goes back like it's the first setting. I mean you have 1,2,3 and then high. 1,2 and high only work. When I turn the A/C off it hisses for a couple of seconds and stops.
Is that normal? My car is a 99 manual with 128,xxx on it.
the hiss is the freon equalizing, its nonthing. all ac's do it.

Yeah, I've noticed the same thing. My A/C doesnt work but still hisses, i always figured that it just wasnt charged. because it still hisses does this means its another problem?
