the main purpose of the switch is to turn the fans on in the staging lane at the track to keep the engine temp down, but it can also be used in traffic, long drive-thru waits, and other times where the engine is prone to reach higher temps.
so if im sitting i just turn it off but when i getting ready to drive turn back on. cool i need all the help i can get to improve my track time. im only running 15.8's now
