This has started just a few months ago...my battery will just keep losing its charge if I don't drive the car every day. Every time I take it back to college and don't drive it for a few days, or a week in some cases, the battery is already dead again.
For quite some time I thought it was related to the capacitor that I had hooked into my sound system recently to lessen the load on the electrical system, however when I pulled the fuse so it was no longer in line with the battery it still keeps going dead. What usually causes this? Is it possible I've got a bad battery...I just replaced it about 6 months ago...its an EverStart Gold.
I don't think its the charging system...when the car gets jumped it starts right away without even having to turn the other car on. Once the car starts the alternator runs at a constant 14.4v and my capacitor also registers 14.4v when I hook it up. Any help on this would be really appreciated...I'm thinking of getting the battery replaced, since I think its still under warrantee.
Thanks,
Brent
