I have never gotten a tune up and really dont know the benifit of it. Ive read on here that it will better performance for my car. Right now my mods are. CAI with K&N filter, wisper lid, magna exhaust. Just ordered my pacesetter headers and going to install those with a high flow cat I just purchased.
So will all those mods, do you think I should get a tune up? How much does that usually cost? And do I just call a local auto bodyshop and ask for a tune up?
You could either get an hpp3 tuner which covers basics and is easy to use, or get hp tuner which you will need to know what you are doing. If you switch gears or go with new rims in the future you may want to get a tune for the speedometer as well, so just wait if you will be doing that.
I am just going to do a mail in from texas speed (mail your pcm with a list of mods and they tune it) then if i get a cam and heads later i will resend it back with a dyno print out for a/f ratio adjustment. I think they still have a deal going for less that 200 for the tune.
Depending where you are it would be hard to find a place that can tune your pcm, at least here in oregon it is.

Thanks alot for the info, I actually converted to 18" rims so I guess I need a tune up soon hu? I'm gonna need to look into this soon. If I don't tune my car will it mess up my camaro?
Just got the hpp3 tuner and change the height of my tires on there. I no longer have 18" but just purchased ZR1 rims 315/35/17 rear and 275 front. [img]smile.gif[/img] looks real mean.
Not much going on, replaced my Kenwood double din stereo with a Pioneer double din, the Kenwood had problems. Then replaced my power inverter for my reverse...
