The IAT mod is a plug-in module for the IAT sensor, which is on the tube going to your throttle body. Some people have seen gains, most haven't.- Josh<br />If you have any questions or need installation pics/help, e-mail me: Viper98885@aol.com<br /><a href=\"http://Camaroz28.cardomain.com/id/viper98885\" target=\"_blank\">\'93 Camaro Hardtop</a><br /><a href=\"http://Camaroz28.cardomain.com/id/01lincolnls8\" target=\"_blank\">\'01 Lincoln LS8 Sport</a><br />\'00 Yamaha YZF-R6<br /><a href=\"http://www.ftpp.net\" target=\"_blank\">Full Throttle Performance</a>

It's basically a resister that you plug into you IAT (intake air temperature) sensor to make your car computer think that colder air is coming in. I tried it on my car at the dyno, and lost 6 HP and 6 #/ft of torque. I was told this happened because I was using 87 Octane, but since I didn't want to spend more money to possibly get more horsepower, I ditched it.
EDIT: VIPER, you loser! lol, I saw it first!

Oh ok, thanks for the replies, so pretty much it doesn't do anything that spending 17 bucks makes it worthwhile. Thanks again for replies.
