I have a couple of questions. 1.) how much is it

2.) does it require 93 gas or can I still use 87

3.) is it worth getting if I don't have headers or a CAI?

You can get the 87/91 dual tune so you can run either one.

It will probably add HP no matter what mods you have.

The cost depends on the year of your car. All the information you need is at:
http://www.tbyrne.com/v6catalog.html under the Pulleys/Ignition section.
SLP CAI, K&N, Whisper Lid, 180* thermo, manual fan switch, 3.42 gears, Auburn Pro LSD, Wester\'s PCM Tuning, TSP Rumbler, High Flow Cat. Best Time: 9.909@71.58 (1/8 mile)

I'm hoping to get a dyno done in the next week or two. I'm waiting on my alum. driveshaft to come in and I need to do some other little things before I take it to the dyno. I'll let you all know when I know the exact day I'm going to have the dyno done. Ohh, and I'm still loving the chip. What is the difference between getting this "Wester's Custom Tuning" and getting a Hypertech Programmer? Do they both perform the same things? I was planing on getting a Hypertech Programmer but now I am not sure about it.
Any info would be appreciated,
Thanks,

dont waste your money on the HPP3, the custom tune is ALOT better, all the HPP3 does is advance your spark, they accualy program better more powerfull curves in there and a diff A/f for maxium HP, the hypertech does nothing compaired to this tune

Yo Guardian, did the Westers PCM eliminate your top speed limiter and if so does your car blow past the stock limiters 118MPH as easily as it would say 65 MPH? I have a '99 Camaro v-6 with the free ram air mod, whisper lid, holley powershot filter, descreened mass-air, Magnecor 8.5 MM race wires, NGK Iridium-Platinum tipped plugs and Flowmasters 3" 80 Series exhaust. I was debating on either the Stage 2 Jet chip or the Westers, by the way, did the Jet chip eliminate your top speed limiter and raise your rev-limiter? Let me know..

I don't think we're ever gonna see any type of programming for our cars....we've been waiting sooooo long for something, i have just given up hope.

Viper04af sent his 97 PCM in to see if they can tune it, he is the guinea pig and is gonna let us know how it goes. 97s might have a chance here

I'll try and anwser you questions one at a time. Ok.
1. Did the Westers chip eliminate my top speed limiter and raise my rev limiter? Well, I have not went over 80mph since I installed the custom chip, so I can not say if they did take the speed limiter off or not. I did ask them to though, I asked them to raise it to 125mph, so, I'm guessing they did. When I find out, I'll let you guys know. ;) As for the rev limiter, I asked them to raise it to 6,000rpms. I have yet to try to rev it up to 6,000rpms, and I probably won't any time soon. I forget what the stock rev limiter was, it was around 3,500rpms if I'm not mistaken. Don't know for sure, someone correct me on this, because I've not had a stock chip in my car expect for maybe the first week or two when I first bought it. :D I have rev my car up to around 4500rpms and dropped the clutch and did one hell of a burn out leaving two nice long and very very dark S marks on the road. So, I know it goes up to 4500 no problem. I'll let you guys know about the 6000rpm rev limit one day, when ever I decide to rev it that high. Won't be anytime soon sorry to say.

2. Did the Jet Chip stage 2 take the speed limiter off and raise my rev limiter? I will say yes to both of these. I know some people on here say that the Jet Chips do not remove the speed limiter. I will have to disagree with them. I have went over 118mph three times with the Jet Chip in my car. One time I pegged the mph gauge and keep watching my rpm gauge climb, the other time I hit right over 120 and let off the gas and for the last time I went over the speed limiter I was going right around 123mph. As for the rev limiter, yes it did raise the rev limiter. I forget what it raised it to, I'm wanting to say 5200rpms. I could be wrong on this. I only hit the rev limiter once. And it's been about year and half ago if not longer.

As for which chip to get, well, if you can spend a couple extra hundred dollars. Then I say go with the Westers custom chip. Well, worth it in my book. If you can't then go with a Jet Chip Stage 2.

I hope all of this helped yeah out on your questions. Let me know if you have anymore.

Laterz,
