Yeap, UPS broght it today. I'll probably install it Saturday or Sunday. I would install it tomorrow but, it's going to be a little cold out side. I was hoping to get a dyno before and after. But, were I work 6 to 7 days a week, I just don't see it happening. Welp, I'll let you all know what I think of it when I install it. Right now I have the Jet Chip Stage 2. So, I'm wondering how big of a difference I'll feel. Can't wait. How long did it take you to get it? I ordered my wester's custom programming yesterday. When I emailed tbyrne to get the form to fill out Tom said it would be available to ship in "a few days".
Defintely interested in your results! What options did you get?SLP CAI, K&N, Whisper Lid, 180* thermo, manual fan switch, 3.42 gears, Auburn Pro LSD, Wester\'s PCM Tuning, TSP Rumbler, High Flow Cat. Best Time: 9.909@71.58 (1/8 mile)

Will do, I'll keep you guys informed. But, as for the dyno before and after, I really wish I could, but I have very little time if any with the hours and the amount of days I work. As for how long it took me to get it. I ordered it on 2/18/04 and I received it on 03/11/04. so about 3 weeks. Not bad at all. : All I can say is Tbyrne customer service and service
As for the options I picked. I took the 93 Hot tune, also had them custom the chip with all the current modifications I have done.
Also, I do plan on getting a dyno here soon, but I really wanted to get a before the custom chip and a after the custom chip dyno. Probably will only be able to get an after the custom chip dyno. Working all the time sucks, but it allows me to have extra money to put into my car.
ohh yeah, almost forgot. I also had them remove the speed limiter, raise the rev limiter, and turn my fans on at different temps. I don't know if all of this was done until I install it. The only thing I haven't liked about Westers service so far, I was hoping they would send a check list of all they did. I'm assuming that they programmed everything that I asked them to program. I'll find out when I install it. ;)
Laterz,
Jeff

Yeah I was sort of wondering if they sent a checklist showing what they did. That way you know for sure you got what you wanted!
Three weeks doesn't sound to bad. I can't wait to get it. I swapped my gears from 3.08 and 3.42 and it shifts fine in city driving but as soon as I am running at highway speeds (around 70) and go WOT to pass or some such it doesn't like that at all. It won't go above 5000 and then throws a code. So I am hoping the custom programming fixes all that.
I requested the fan temps to be optimized for my 180* thermo and raised the top speed limiter to 130 (what my tires are rated for). That has to be approaching the top speed of the car anyway.SLP CAI, K&N, Whisper Lid, 180* thermo, manual fan switch, 3.42 gears, Auburn Pro LSD, Wester\'s PCM Tuning, TSP Rumbler, High Flow Cat. Welp, I installed the chip today before I went to work. I'll start with the install. The install was not real hard. It took me maybe 15 min. if that of work to change everything. I'll warn you right now though. It's one heck of a pain to get the computer in and out. First you need to unhook your negative battery connection. The best way I found was to take both bolts that is holding the plastic holder for the computer out. Then unhook the two connections to the computer. Take the computer out of it's plastic black casing and pull it out of the casing. You'll probably have some trouble getting the computer all the way out, it's a tight fit. Then after you get the stock computer out, then remove the plastic holder. Now place the new custom computer in the plastic holder and have fun putting it back. The best way I found was to telt the computer(computer in the plastic holder) to the right a little and wiggle it back in the cramped space. After you get the plastic casing to hook in place, place the two bolts back into the plastic casing, and rehook the two computer connections. On, my 2000 Camaro, the top connection is blue coated and the bottom connection is white. After you hook both connections back up, just rehook the negative battery connection and your set.
When you start your car up for the first time with the custom chip installed. It will be a little hard to start. My started in about 3 seconds. It turned over a few times, then it started. Welp, right as I started the car I could already tell a difference. The engine revs down slower now, instead of just dropping right now to 800 rpms. It now drops slower to 1000 rpms then slowy down to 800 rpms and idles perfect, no jumping at all, not even a tiny bit. Very nice. Welp, I took my car for a test drive. I drove it about a mile on the back road kinda slow. About 30 to 35mph. Then I got to the 4 lane. :D I pulled out slow, and then I just slammed the gas peddle down. The car pulls like crazy now. I could not believe the power difference. And the wild thing is, I had a Stage 2 Jet chip on my car, I can only imagine the difference you guys that have a stock computer are going to fell. I did get the 93 octane hot tune, so it's the same as the Jet Chip required. But man what a difference. One thing happened that scared me though, after I floored it and got up to 65mph in a matter of a couple of seconds, my "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" light came on and was flashing. I was like ohh NO. :( Well, it flashed for maybe 10 seconds and it went off. So, I was like well, more than likely it was probably a misfire. Something I did not want to see. So, instead of taking it easy. I had to see if my car was going to flash the SES light at me again. So, I turned around and floored it again. This time no light, I floored it while I was moving and nothing. I did this about 7 times at different speeds and once more from a stand still and no SES light flashing. So, I'm guessing it just had to learn the engine setup. I'm going to call or email Westers and ask them if that was normal. I'm guessing it is since I've driven my car about 40 miles now and the SES light has not came back on yet.
Also, when I first pulled out after I installed the custom computer. I could feel a big difference in the gas pedal(throttle response). All I can say is, it's there, and I do mean it's there.
It says that it takes from 30 to 60 miles of driving and stop and go driving for the computer to fully learn everything. I only have put about 40 miles on it, and the difference I feel is crazy. I don't know if it's where I got the 93 octane hot tune and also it could be the mods that I have on my Camaro.
Also, from what I could tell, they did not fix my fans to turn on earlier. No biggy though for me, I have a manual fan switch so, no biggy. As for the performance stuff that I listed, I think they did a great job for the custom tuning. I can not express enough of the power difference or more like lay me back in my seat and feel the G's . As for the top speed limiter, I won't know if they took it off anytime soon. I think that is about everyting. If you have any other questions, please let me know. I'll be glad to try and answer them.

Sounds good man. I REALLY hope you can get it to a dyno soon if it really is making you feel that much of a difference.
What other mods did you have before this that you had them program for?
Maybe I'll have to pick one of these things up sometime (no time soon though...just bought a used HPP3 and am happy with that for the time being)Shawn<br />2002 Silver W68 Firebird

Hey, sorry for taking so long to reply. I finally got a day off work Sunday. Was able to drive my car. Well, as for my mods. I have CIA headers, 3" high flow cat, 3" American Thunder cat back system, free intake mod, holley power shot filter, 160 thermy, removed maf screen, 8.5mm MSD wires, bosch plugs, LSD, B&M ripper, SLP 1.8 roller rocker arms, and before installing the custom chip I had the stage 2 jet chip. Also, I did ask them to raise my rev limiter to 6,000rpms.
Also, I may sound crazy saying this. But, I can hear a difference in my exhaust. It has a much better tone and is much smoother. Very sweet. This chip is by far the best mod I have done. It may be where I have my other mods and the custom chip is taking full advantage of everything, plus with the 93 octane hot tune, and also I don't know if this makes any difference but it asks on the form "Vehicle Primarily used for" and I put weekend driving only. So, I'm wondering if they gave my car a little more ummffff, since I don't drive it all that much.
