I have never gotten a tune up and really dont know the benifit of it. Ive read on here that it will better performance for my car. Right now my mods are. CAI with K&N filter, wisper lid, magna exhaust. Just ordered my pacesetter headers and going to install those with a high flow cat I just purchased.
So will all those mods, do you think I should get a tune up? How much does that usually cost? And do I just call a local auto bodyshop and ask for a tune up?
It has never gotten a tune up. I got the car at 21,000 miles and it has 35,000 now. And I definatley will get those parts when I do a tune up.
What do you guys think about electric cut-outs or just cut-outs in general for the 3.8L? I am thinking of getting an electric cut-out for my next mod. What do you guys think?

When i read this and your other post you mentioned all your mods, then sounded interested in a "tune up" for performance. I believed you were talking about getting your car tuned to incorporate all you mods.
So are you looking to get it tuned, or getting a tune up (changing fluids, filters, belt, et)?
at 35,000 miles you have a long way to go before you need a tuneup. our cars are built to go 100,000 miles before your first real tuneup.
for performance and a good price get taylor pro performance wires. they are about $35. your plugs are platinum stock and are probably pretty good. mine lasted 110,000 and worked great till my tuneup.
if you install the wires make sure you use the stock heat shields on the wire boots and dont ziptie them together, but ziptie them away from the hot exhaust manifold.or you new headers.
while you are doing you headers that would be a good time to swap the wires. your plugs are probably fine if it seems to run smooth. and your fuel filter is probably fine too, but for $10 what could it hurt. yeah plugs are cheap too, but are a real pain in the butt to change and in my opinion are not worth changing till 60,000 or so and dont help that much in performance unless you are running nitrous or a turbo.
for your next mod, look into a performance clutch so when yours goes out you will have a good performance clutch to swap in.
you might look at gears and a cam for you next mod, but with gas prices i would just stick to intake and exhaust. wires will help with mileage too.
only other thing i could think of would be to port and polish OR get an ls1 throttle body. there are other mods but after a while certain mods will start hampering the reliability of your car.
i would definitely have your computer reprogrammed to your mods. it should help efficiency and from what i hear it will greatly increase your horsepower and throttle response.
wires, fuel filter, for now
air filter, pcv valve, tranny lube, rearend lube, plugs, etc at 70,000 or so.
