• Sponsorship???>

    Hi everyone,

I was talkin' to a good friend of mine who happens to have a 2.2L prelude powered four-door civic. The thing is completely riced out! Well, he got a hold of ACT about sponsorship and they actually got a hold of him and where happy to sponsor him?

ACT obligated some track and show events with him as well as a 12" ACT logo. There is where I am a big confused... he doesn't know much about cars, but he did know what was a one off (at the time) and had the pockets for it. How doe someone like this OR anyone, for that matter, get sponsored? I always thought it was almost impossible unless you knew someone?

I would love to get sponsored, but who would sponsor a 3.4L f-body powered miata? No one (in my opinion) would benefit from the sponsorship, I mean the miata guys would not due to the drivetrain, and the f-body guys would not, due to the body?

    What are my odds guys?

full custom wide body (to be added), custom hood, tail lights and spoiler (also to be added), 300ZX side skirts mached and fabricated. Full valvetrain components on the 3.4L with only a stock bottom end, stock clutch and fly (for now) and a stock rear-end (will be upgraded to a 7.5" ford IRS soon). AGZ shocks Ground control spings, roll bar... sways... end links... the list goes on.

        Thanks for the response guys...

I really wanted to run the "track use" but streetable Kumho V700's, that are measured at 265/45-16's rear with 225/50-15's front. These will be placed on Kosei K-1's 15x7.5" front and 16x8.5" rear.

The problem is, the wheel based is SUPER short (89") on a miata... not exactly an ideal setup for an all out drag car. My ideal sponsor would be a NOS or even Tiago or turbonetics... I want to get a T66 for this setup later (I've got a monster intercooler ready) or maybe a nice 50-75 or 100 shot NOS.

Do ya guys have any idea about sponsorship and what might be involve?

Not too bad to drag but I wouldn't am for that go for the autocross crowd...

V700 is a good idea but maybe V710s since they are the new ones that are supposed to be betteer
